Dr. Equahtic is a man who saved my life with his breakthrough with the Humulus lupulus species of plant from the Cannabaceae family. Also known as hops, this wonderful plant transformed my life from the dull dreariness of lab science to the wacky world of brewing! Ok, I might have made up some of that. . . “Dr. Equahtic” comes from combining the 4 hops (Dr.Rudi, Equinox, Ahtanum, Mosaic) used in this 5th Double IPA of our Double IPA series. With a nice, smooth malt backbone and some mild alcohol warmth, this bold DIPA packs a punch and coats your tongue with a resiny, sweet/bitter combo. Dr. Equahtic has wonderful orange, guava, passion fruit, and pineapple notes blended seamlessly together to become one, beautiful, ripe, smooth package of juicy, heady goodness.
